Frequently asked questions

Why an in-home pet sitter?

Having your pet in their natural environment allows us to keep up the natural rhythm of their routine; which reduces stress and anxiety while you are away. This is especially true for pets with anxiety, special needs/medications and of course our seniors. It can also help prevent future behavioral issues caused by anxiety. As an added bonus it affords you peace of mind that your pet and home are well cared for so you can travel with ease.

How often and how do you contact us while we are away?

That is completely up to you. We can contact you once a day or every visit. We have several ways we can communicate. We can chat and send pictures directly through our pet sitting software app, phone calls, text messages, email, facetime and whats app. You let us know what your preference is.

Do I have to create an account with your pet sitting software to schedule a visit?

No you do not, but the app is very convenient. You can call, text message or email to schedule a visit if you're not using the app.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit/debit card and Venmo. For first time clients we only accept cash, credit/debit and Venmo and full payment is due before visit.

Do you work the holidays and is there an extra charge?

Yes we are available for all holidays and no we do not charge extra.

Is your rate per pet?

Our rate is per pet family up to 4 pets. It is $10 extra per pet after 4.

Why should I use the pet sitting software?

It is incredibly convenient for all of us. Our pet sitting software allows you to update your pets file any time there is a change. It allows you to leave us notes. We can chat and send pictures through the app. It allows you to track and monitor the arrival and departure of your pet sitter. It allows you to GPS track your pet sitter while walking your dog. You are updated at a single glance about your pets bathroom "business" and meal times. It allows you to schedule visits online at your convenience. We recommend our software to all of our clients, but it isn't mandatory.

Do we have to have a meet and greet first?

Yes! We want to provide the best possible care for our clients. In order to do that we need as much information as possible and we need to observe them in their natural environment. Your pets also need to meet us and get acclimated to having us come into their home to care for them. This helps reduce anxiety for your pet and also provides peace of mind for you, knowing who is caring for your pet.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes we do. Early Returns: It is not unusual for trip plans to change at the last minute. However, please understand that Naples Peaceful Pets carefully schedules our time to service you and our other clients. Therefore, there are no refunds or credits for early returns. Cancellations for overnight visits: Naples Peaceful Pets requires a 3- week cancellation notice prior to the date of the first visit. Failure to provide notice within that time frame will result in a 50% cancellation fee payable by the pet owner. Holiday Cancellations: Any cancellations during a major holiday; ie: Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving with less than a 3 week notice will result in 75% of the total fee for scheduled pet care to be paid. We request your understanding that Holiday travel is a peak service time for pet care.

Expanded Testimonials

BLESSED We have been using Lori's pet services for over 6 years. We feel blessed that we found her.
She is an amazing person and an incredible sitter. Great work ethics, we had one sick cat (Gracie) and she would stay over and give her the attention that she needed. Highly recommend her and her company.
We always know our pets are well taken care of and loved when we are gone.
Sincerely ~ Ann and Candace PEACE Lori has been a lifesaver! We hate leaving Kali when we go away and Lori has enabled us to have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. Lori is very calm, reliable, trustworthy, and Kali really likes her. Kali is a large German shepherd who is not always great with new people or dogs, so she needs a good handler. Lori fits the bill! ~Elaine Falkenberg BONDS Lori has been walking my standard poodle puppy for close to a year. I hired Lori originally because I could not walk Kristi (my dog), for medical reasons. Lori worked with my changing schedule and was always there for me. Now that I am better , I still have Lori come to walk Kristi because she has gotten so attached to Lori and Lori continues to work with and teach her. I would unequivocally recommend Lori for all your pet services needs. She is so professional, compassionate and develops a special bond with the pet.
~Kathy Blackburn TREATS Lori and her team have been taking care of our 2 dogs for about a year now and we couldn’t be happier with her service. She really gets to know our dog’s likes and dislikes and can really read their behavior. Our dogs wait by the door because they know she’s coming at 9AM on the dot for their walk. They love her, even my toy poodle who is such a mama’s boy that he will only walk with me and now he loves walking with Lori! My poodle is also diabetic and she has no problem giving him his morning insulin shot (with treats after!) Lori is also great about last minute walks if I have to stay at work longer. Lori also house sits when we go on vacation and not only are our dogs happy but she takes care of our house too! She’s part of our family and most importantly our fur babies love her. ~Victoria R. TRIO Have been meaning to write to you for a while, to let you know just how thrilled Bob and I have been to have found you! It is such a joy to know that you and your team really care about the animals and their owners the way you do! My three cats are spoiled rotten. I fuss about leaving them dreadfully. I fuss about if they are eating enough and do they have enough treats. You have totally put my mind at rest. Having engaged your services several times now, we are so much happier going away than we ever have been before. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness, attention to detail, communication and understanding of somewhat paranoid parents of furry children! Thank you again and we look forward to our continuing relationship with Naples Peaceful Pets! ~Diane Linaker CHARACTER Lori has been an absolute lifesaver! She has been helping us with our boxer Kevin for over five years. As two professionals with unpredictable schedules, she has come through for us time and time again. She is passionate, dependable, accommodating and obviously loves what she does. But the best testimony, to Lori, is the way Kevin runs down the driveway to greet her when he sees her car. He loves her so much! We wholeheartedly recommend Lori and Naples Peaceful Pets for your pet care needs. ~Jennifer and Ed
